Innovators in healthcare, healthcare access or healthcare economic models from around the metro Detroit area will gather May 2-3 at Wayne State’s Scott Hall for the first Ignite to Innovate!

Global & Urban Health Innovation Competition.

Each innovation entry is $0. Six innovators will be invited to give a platform presentation with the remainder able to present a poster or video at a table in the cafeteria.

The deadline for submission is April 23.

Organized and chaired by Pediatrician Nitin Chouthai, a neonatologist at DMC Children’s Hospital of Michigan, the competition is open to any innovator, including physicians, engineers, venture capitalists and other medical-industry related workers.

“Wayne State faculty and others members will mentor the participants,” Alami states. “ISM is proud to be a strategic partner in helping local innovators spark economic growth for Detroit and Southeast Michigan.”
