Troy-based Trion Solutions marks National Payroll Week and its management of payroll for 50,000 client employees within 600 companies

National Payroll Week salutes American workers and payroll professionals processing $2.4 trillion in annual U.S. payroll
 Troy, Mich.-based Trion Solutions celebrates managing payroll for more than 50,000 client employees in 600 client companies nationally
TROY, Mich. --  The advances in technology and increased regulatory compliance have made companies that specialize in payroll processing an increasingly important and cost-effective management tool for businesses of all sizes, according to Trion Solutions’ Co-Founder and CEO Bonner Upshaw III and Chief Operating Officer Craig Vanderburg.
“Payroll fuels our nation’s economic engine,” said Trion’s Upshaw.  “It is estimated that 73% of U.S. organizations use separate companies to process their payroll.  In the case of Trion Solutions, many of our 600 client companies use us for benefits administration, workers’ compensation and retirement planning for their employees – but all 600 utilize our payroll-processing services.”
According to Trion’s Vanderburg, advances in technology for payroll processing have increased substantially in the past 10 years.  “Payroll has evolved from processing copies of printed checks that employees had to take to a bank for depositing to immense sophistication in electronic-payroll management.”
Vanderburg added, “Today’s payroll systems, managed by companies like Trion Solutions, allow for monitoring and tracking electronically in such areas as time and attendance, mandatory paid leave, pay cards and direct deposits that provide instant access to funds.  They also help ensure that increased federal, state and city regulatory and tax requirements are recorded and filed accurately.”
Trion Solutions is celebrating National Payroll Week with a number of employee events intended to thank Trion team members for their work in managing payroll for more than 50,000 client employees, according to CEO and Co-Founder Upshaw.
