Auburn Hills, MI –Munetrix, a public sector solutions provider offering data management, analytics and reporting tools for states, local governments and public school districts, is pleased to announce that educators Rebecca Caldwell and Sara Shriver have joined the company as senior advisors in the Munetrix  school district practice, while Peter Solar, Jr. has joined the company as director of client partnerships. The announcement was made by Munetrix President Bob Kittle.

Prior to joining Munetrix, Caldwell had a long-term career as a chemistry and math teacher at Trenton High School. She began pursuing an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Wayne State University in 2017 and since that time has worked as a University Field Advisor for K-12 student teachers in the Detroit area who are attending Grand Valley State University. She is also a lecturer in education for future PK-12 students at the University of Michigan-Dearborn.  At Munetrix, Caldwell will consult with school leadership for compliance with legislative requirements for K-12 data, including teacher evaluation mandates. Caldwell holds an M.S. in Educational Leadership and a K-12 Admin Certification from Concordia University; an M.S. in Chemistry from Purdue University; and a B.S. in Chemistry and grade 6-12 certification in math and chemistry from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.  She has written and presented a variety of professional papers on pressing educational issues.

Shriver’s professional background includes serving as a Superintendent for Belding Area Schools from 2012 to 2016 and, from 1990 to 2012, working in a variety of roles for Lakeview Community Schools, including director of instruction and elementary school principal. Most recently, she has been an external consultant specializing in administrator evaluations, government grants, comprehensive needs assessments and the continuous school improvement process for education-based entities, including the Michigan Association of Superintendents and Administrators (MASA), Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association (MEMSPA), and the Michigan Department of Education (MDE). At Munetrix, Shriver will train and support educators in completing their Comprehensive Needs Assessments (CNAs), a process required for districts to receive their federal funds. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education focused on early childhood education and literacy, a Master of Arts in Reading, and an Educational Specialist in Educational Administration and Community Leadership, all from Central Michigan University.

“Munetrix is happy to bring Rebecca Caldwell and Sara Shriver on board in roles ultimately focused on improving student outcomes,” Kittle said. “From teacher, principal, superintendent and college lecturer of future K-12 educators, their combined experiences in the educational system bring added depth to the Munetrix bench and allow us to offer hyper-targeted data and consulting support services to our school district customers.”

Peter Solar has nearly 25 years of experience in professional sales and market positioning in the school software space.  Prior to joining Munetrix, he was a senior account executive and regional lead for Arizona-based Edgenuity, a web-based K-12 curriculum company, where he worked since 2002. Previously, he held sales positions for other enterprises with an education or e-learning component. Solar studied finance and marketing at Eastern Michigan University and has completed a variety of professional sales training programs.

“Munetrix has grown to the point of needing a full-time executive sales professional to maximize new opportunities with schools and municipalities both in Michigan and throughout the U.S.,” Kittle said. “Pete Solar is expert at explaining product and service value and creating customers for life. He brings shared customer and product values to Munetrix.”

Kittle also announced that Munetrix has hired two college students for paid internships in data science for the summer of 2019 as part of Munetrix University, which has had 26 interns since it began the program in 2013.
