DETROIT (February 3, 2020) – The Michigan Israel Business Accelerator, the state’s only organization that exclusively promotes commerce between the State of Michigan and the State of Israel, invites Michigan companies focused on Industry 4.0 technology to join a delegation to Israel February 22-28, 2020. Israel is fast becoming an international hub of Industry 4.0 innovation because of its entrepreneurial culture and innovative ecosystem.
The trip is designed to build partnerships by attending the Industry 4.0 Conference in Tel Aviv, along with meetings with key advanced manufacturing private sector leaders across multiple industry sectors focused on this fourth revolution in industrial manufacturing.
“Israel is renowned for AI, computer vision, cybersecurity, smart sensors, blockchain and automation processes, are helping to change the way products are manufactured, designed and marketed,” said Jim Meeks, co-founder and managing partner of Grand Rapids-based Rapids Venture, who is chairing the delegation. “We look to build partnerships that will not only develop stronger communities and businesses but also introduce more Michigan companies to innovative approaches that can support their role in advancing Michigan’s innovation ecosystem.”
“Michigan has received 250 percent more startup investment in the past five years - $1.4 billion – than it received five years prior,” said Scott Hiipakka, CEO of the Michigan Israel Business Accelerator. “In order to continue that momentum, Michigan companies will need to establish new relationships and there is no better place in the world now to do that than Israel.”
