Should the business community be optimistic about business conditions this year? Join McDonald Hopkins LLC as it considers this and other questions on Thursday, Jan. 31 at noon during the 2019 Business Outlook – a one-hour hour discussion of what we might expect in the months ahead.

The business hour will be held at McDonald Hopkins’ Cleveland office and streamed live on the internet at

Kent State University economist Dr. Justin Barnette will be the featured speaker on a panel with McDonald Hopkins members James Stief, Scott Opincar and Jeff Van Winkle.

Questions to be considered include: Which segments of the economy will be helped and which will be hurt in 2019? How will tariffs continue to change and disrupt supply chain patterns? Will stock market volatility continue? What can we expect as a result of the USMCA (NAFTA 2.0)? What should we anticipate based on the midterm election results? What is the state of the labor market and what can we expect going forward?
