ISM Inc. Sponsors MEDA Spring Economic Development Toolbox

Lansing, Michigan. May 9th, 2017.
When state and local Economic Development professionals gather in at the Crowne Plaza Lansing West in Lansing on May 16, 2017 for Michigan Economic Developer’s Association (MEDA) annual Spring Economic Development Toolbox event, you can pretty much bet serious discussion and innovative ideas will fill the air.

The event looks at key economic development tools, informationally and in terms of implementation. With a dozen breakout sessions covering topics such as “Understanding the Implications of Federal Foreign Policy Changes,” the event is sponsored by International Strategic Management, Inc. (ISM) in Troy, and PM Environmental in Grand Rapids.

"This program has case studies for using funding programs, the newest methods for matching workers with the right jobs, and takeaways on issues like the federal environment and business succession planning that economic developers are often asked about when meeting with client businesses,” says MEDA Executive Director, John Avery.

Pricing for the event differs for MEDA members / non-members, and sponsoring organizations. Register online at this link

The event begins at 8:00 a.m., and adjourns at 3:50 p.m. The program qualifies for (1) continuing education credit for Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) certification from the National Development Council (NDC).

“This is a great platform for people to engage in best practices for economic development in their communities,” says Faris Alami, CEO of International Strategic Management and one of the three panel members discussing Federal Foreign Policy Changes. “Anyone involved in economic development should make a point of attending this event.”
