TROY, Mich.—July 29, 2020—Automation Alley, Michigan’s Industry 4.0 knowledge center and leading technology and manufacturing business association, announced that Dr. Irene Petrick, Senior Director of Industrial Innovation in the Internet of Things Group at global tech giant Intel Corporation, will keynote Integr8. The Industry 4.0 conference has transformed this year to meet COVID-19 social distancing requirements of the State of Michigan, and is slated for Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2020 at Detroit’s TCF Center. The announcement was made by Automation Alley Executive Director and CEO, Tom Kelly.

“The pandemic plunged the world into uncertainty, yet within weeks, we saw signs of hope for restarting our economic engines of manufacturing, technology and service—and much of it through the use of Industry 4.0 technologies such as 3D printing, artificial intelligence and augmented reality,” Kelly said. “Dr. Petrick’s presentation on the adoption of technology in manufacturing is particularly timely for the COVID-19 era, which affirms the immediate need for advanced technologies to transform the way we manufacture products, keep people safe and healthy, and facilitate rapid change in a variety of industries.”

Integr8 is a cross-discipline conference focused on content as it applies to the core smart technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and highlights the Industrial Internet of Things, edge computing, the transition to intelligent manufacturing and the needs of the future workforce, 3D printing and distributed manufacturing, and the new business models that are enabled by intelligent manufacturing.

The 2020 conference will be scaled down to allow a safe level of participation, featuring 1:1 facilitated meetings rather than expos, and will follow protocols governing COVID-19 mitigation without minimizing value. If state regulations near the conference date mandate a change, the event will be rescheduled.

Tickets can be purchased online and include entrance to a variety of technology-focused breakout sessions, World Economic Forum Advanced Manufacturing Hub (AMHUB) roundtable participation, breakfast, lunch and keynote presentations from digital transformation champions.
