Job Description

Under general supervision, conducts investigations, research and analysis relating to the development, implementation and evaluation of Circuit/Probate Court operations. Assists the higher level management staff in assessing the automation needs of Circuit/Probate Court, including the development of automation proposals, reports and forms, regular and ad hoc. Provides information and computer/technical assistance to Circuit/Probate Court personnel and performs related work as required. Utilizes current county-wide and/or department specific software to complete assignments. 

Minimum Qualifications

At the time of application, applicants must:

1. Possess an Associates degree or sixty (60) semester credit hours from an accredited college or university with a major in Education, Business Administration, Public Administration, Computer Information Systems, Office Automation, MIS, Statistics or Court Administration or other closely related field; AND

NOTE: Applicants possessing transcripts from a college or university outside of the United States will be required to provide documentation of degree equivalency from a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services ( The degree evaluation will be required for application processing.

2. Have at least three (3) years of full time experience in Court operations and/or Court computer system operations.

NOTE: High school graduation or a certificate of successful completion of the General Educational Development Test and five (5) years experience may substitute for an Associates Degree and three (3) years experience as described in #1 and #2 above.

3. Pass the complete examination including the employment medical established for this class.

4. Successfully complete the six month probationary period.
