Job Description
Electrical Engineer Responsibilities
  • Work with customers in defining new products, generating proposals, developing project plans and validation specifications
  • Design and develop magnetic sensors using Hall and MR technologies
  • Evaluate magnet materials and geometry
  • Responsible for analog and digital design from concept to production
  • Evaluate and select appropriate magnetic sensing ICs, analog and digital interface components and potentially ASICs for high volume, low cost products
  • Test and debug electronic and magnetic circuits
  • Consider environmental aspects during the design
  • In particular temperature, external magnetic disturbances and EMC
  • Simulate sensor behavior using advanced CAE tools
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation such as bills of material, D / PFMEA, FTA, process flows, specifications, procedures, and other types of engineering documentation
  • Uses common automotive design tools for circuit design, requirements capture, circuit analysis, diagnostics and module communication
  • Identify, track, and resolve open issues (internal and customer driven) for products under development and in production
  • Perform prototype product failure analysis on customer returns, scrap & DV / PV parts and report results
  • Establish and maintain key customer engineering contacts and promote company engineering and manufacturing capabilities
  • Interface with peers, technical resources outside of the company (universities, professors, etc.), suppliers, and customers
  • Follow the company established development process, Concept to Customer
Electrical Engineer Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 3-5 years relevant work experience
  • Automotive Electronic and PCB design experience
  • Experience in high volume manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of magnetic components, materials and theory preferable
  • Ability to perform advanced engineering mathematics and analysis
  • Knowledge of relevant tools such as Excel, Labview and / or Maxwell Ansys desirable
  • Familiarity with sensor interfaces (SENT, PWM, Analog, PSI5, AK) desirable
  • Intermediate MS Office suite
  • Ability to work in teams and independently
