Job Description

$32,884.80 - $42,833.96 Annually


Under limited supervision, performs physical and clerical tasks involved in the receiving, inventory maintenance, storage and issuing of a variety of Information Technology equipment.  Maintains the Information Technology hardware database, tracks software licenses, providing County Asset tags on all hardware equipment purchased.  Prepares end of life equipment for auction and recycling non-working equipment.  Receives and transports computer hardware, supplies and stock items of considerable size and weight within storage area. Processes order forms and ensures that equipment / materials are properly delivered. Delivers orders to IT Staff within Information Technology.  Provides technical guidance and in-service training to lower level employees regarding inventory procedures. Minimum Qualifications

At the time of application, applicants must:

1.  Be a high school graduate or have a certificate of successful completion of the General Educational Development Test; AND

2.  Have had one (1) year of full-time work experience in inventory management. 

3.  Possess a valid United States motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur's license. Out of country driver's license holders will be required to obtain the appropriate valid State of Michigan driver's license before the hire date.   

4.  Pass the examination and the medical exam established for this classification. 

5.  Successfully complete the six month probationary period.


Special Requirements

1.  Must maintain a valid United States motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur's license. 

2.  Must pass a background check performed by the County or other appropriate agencies as required.
