M_Chen_2017A (Small).pngMike Chen is the corporate engineering team manager, otherwise known as the Automation Center at Omron Automation Americas. He leads a team of veteran engineers who responsibility for product expertise, applied proof-of-concepts, pre-sales engineering projects, and a state-of-the-art automation technology showroom with lab. Mike leads new technology investigation and advises Omron's executive team on possible mergers, acquisitions, and alliances from a technical continuity perspective. Over the past 6 years at Omron, he has been the Product Manager for development & runtime software, Human Machine Interfaces, integrated controller platforms, and advanced vision & measurement devices. Prior to Omron, at Mitsubishi Electric, Mike spent three years in Japan supporting industrial controls and networks, then returning to the US as the lead engineer for modular control systems, MES and integrated software. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University.
