Event Description:

Recently supplanting China for the top spot, India’s GDP grew a whopping 7.2% in the last quarter of 2017. Manufacturing output has also soared to 8.1% while construction rose to 6.8%.

In addition, India jumped 30 places in the country’s ease of doing business, according to the World Bank’s Doing Business Report 2018. The nation’s recent successes are attributed to economic reforms and efforts to modernize its economy. Taken together, promising business opportunities await U.S. companies in this nation of 1.3 billion consumers, including an emerging middle class of nearly 300 million with a strong appetite for Michigan investment and products.
