APiS IQ-Software Basic Training
APiS North America invites you to attend a 2-Day training class and workshop to understand the basics of the APiS IQ-Software.  APiS IQ-Software helps users to set up FMEAs. The software is perfectly adapted for the Windows environment. It already meets all of the expectations in terms of being able to reuse documented knowledge. 

This class will be taught by Vice President of APiS North America, Chad Johnson.  Chad holds a Black Belt certification from the QFD Institute as well as a Master Black Belt certification from ZF/TRW Automotive.
 
Listed below is the 2-Day IQ Software Basic Training outline:
 
Day 1 - Introduction
  • Clarification of attendee expectations, goals, and end-of-training capabilities
  • APIS IQ-Software Introduction
    • Fundamental constructs of IQ-Software; Functional Models / Object Hierarchy
  • Developing a Design Structure
    • Basics of the Structure Editor + Display options
    • Input collectors & catalogs
  • Defining and creating Functions, Failures, Requirements & Product Characteristics
    • Basics of the Function & Failure net editors + Display options
  • Assigning Failures to all Functions, Requirements and Characteristics
  • “Tagging” objects
  • Determination of Failures as Failure Mode, Cause, or Effect
  • First display of information in FMEA Forms editor
    • Display options (direct & root causes / effects) & formatting views
    • Creating an FMEA formsheet and formsheet-groups
  • End of day review and Questions
Day 2 – Working a real example
  • Review and Questions from Day 1
  • FMEA – project example (class determined, company example preferred)
    • Excel imports into IQ Software if requested
    • Deeper dive of each activity from Day-1
  • Setup of supporting information for the FMEA
  • Revision States & Action groups
  • Reusing data & Catalog management
  • Completion of the FMEA Form + Risk Matrices 
  • Data Management
  • Development of PFMEA ex: Process Elements, Control Plan, Process Flow Diagram
  • Relationship between PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow…& DFMEA
In addition, Chad is always responsive to the attendees; he will make the time to
cover topics requested and those recognized as specific areas of interest of those in
attendance.
