Job Description

The Sales Account Manager will report to the Regional Account Executive,and will assist and help in the growth of the business and in the development of new opportunities within the General Industry sector. In this position the Sales Account Manager will be interacting with customers and colleagues and will continually drive change in an extremely reactionary environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary in order to address customer issues and concerns. Domestic and occasional International travel will be a requirement of this position.

In this role the ideal candidate will act as a network and think innovatively while executing the following responsibilities:

  • Research client requirements and work with proposal and engineering resources to develop offers and costs
  • Work with the Platform Manager and Project Managers to co-ordinate customer strategy
  • Work with Department Managers to determine correct delivery strategy and cost base
  • Knowledge of contract negotiation and definition
  • Support the Company's marketing analysis and marketing plan
  • Order Acquisition ownership, lead offer activities and negotiation
  • Support Order Execution, lead relations for improving customer satisfaction
  • Understand and promote Value Based Selling techniques
  • Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales
  • Account Management, lead and coordinate all relationships with the customer at all levels in their organization
  • Gain a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements and present appropriately to make a sale
  • Understand the customer's strategy to aid in developing an approach that aligns the company solutions and customer needs, working closely with Product Lines
  • Understand the customer's business plan and targets/objectives to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers
  • Cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
  • Act as a contact between the company and its existing and potential markets
  • Gather market and customer information
  • Represent the organization at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
  • Negotiate on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers
  • Feed future buying trends back to employers and advise on forthcoming product developments and discuss special promotions
  • Record sales and order information
  • Review your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
  • Make accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations
  • Attend team meetings and share best practice with colleagues
  • Other duties as required

    This role is best suited for a candidate that possess the following qualifications:

    Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous experiences in sales and account management
  • Experience/understanding of automated industrial equipment and machinery-specifically robotics
  • Ability to work in Sales department in B2B environment
  • Good organizational skills with ability to priorities own workload
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
