Job Description
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
  • Provide emergency / unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service times
  • Perform maintenance technician skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, machinery assembly drawings, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Diagnose process and machinery problems utilizing root cause failure analysis techniques, replace or repair equipment parts, test and make adjustments as required
  • Perform regular preventive and predictive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, basic shop machinery, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
 
Maintenance Technician Requirements
  • An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, and HVAC applications
  • PLC and ladder logic design / troubleshooting
  • Robot teach point and programming code understanding
  • High school diploma / GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience
  • 4+ years of maintenance technician experience with strong analysis and repair skills in: electrical ac / dc systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical applications, power transmission systems, fluid mechanics / properties, tubing and hosing applications, operation of mobile equipment, and machine safe guarding
