SAS Programmer (Health Care) (2611-AA)

Are you an experienced SAS Programmer who is interested in improving
clinical practices, patient outcomes, and health-related public

As a part of our client's team, your primary responsibility will be
working with data from large clinical or claims data warehouses to
produce Standard Analytical Files for research and study reports.

Ann Arbor, MI

Up to $85K plus a generous 10% 401K contribution and other similarly
generous benefits.

Minimum of Bachelors Degree

   -Be well versed in using SAS Base to work with complex and
    large healthcare datasets, and have demonstrated proficiency
    in using SAS with data step, macro, and PROC SQL

   -Demonstrated ability to write code that is clearly
    readable and efficient

   -Demonstrated experience using a variety of procedures
    within Base SAS or other SAS products to respond to user
    requests received from a variety of business departments

   -Experience handling complex data sources

   -Demonstrated ability to analyze and translate user
    requirements into implementation design

   -Previous involvement in the evaluation of complex business

   -Familiarity with SAS statistical procedures

   -Excellent understanding of statistical concepts and
    fluency in analytical approaches for health care outcomes,
    demonstrated by previous experience using health care related

   -Proficiency in Microsoft Office


   -Non-profit experience

   -Health research background

   -Experience as a technical lead programmer


   -Develop and utilize advanced knowledge of project specific
    data structure and organization, study protocol and research

   -Analyze user requirements and translate to implementation

   -Design and implement systems of code for implementation in
    individual projects, ad-hoc requests, standard analytic files,
    and reports

   -Specify and develop project-specific tests within the
    established testing framework for the project

   -Efficiently and independently perform exploratory analyses
    and respond to research questions and data requests from
    funding sources, project staff, and the other stakeholders

   -Work collaboratively with internal and external
    programming, analytical, and project administrative staff to
    ensure accuracy of data analyses, maintain and enhance data
    products (Standard Analytical Files, Reports), and improve
    data management process

   -Discuss and plan complex projects with technical and
    non-technical audiences

   -Explore new technology and tools on a continuous basis

   -Develop leadership skills

   -Take initiative in leading new data-related projects
