Job Description
Payroll Specialist Responsibilities   
  • Ensure payroll is processed with speed and accuracy
  • Serve as liaison to employees and with third party payroll vendors to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company specific pay policies
  • Audit employee pay records and reconciles totals by department, location, country, etc.
  • Understand current and proper taxation of employer paid benefits
  • Stay current with changes in the law
  • Process accurate and timely year-end payroll adjustments and reporting
  • Assist with audits of internal records, workers compensation, tax filing and related documentation
  • Update and reconcile monthly bank statements from ADP
  • Perform a variety of general accounting support tasks including: AR, AP, bank reconciliation, fixed asset management, etc.
  • Make recommendations for quality and process improvement, coordinates third party payroll system implementations and upgrades
  • Work safely by observing safety rules, policies and procedures
  • Identify unsafe conditions or actions to my supervisor
  • Other duties may be assigned
 
Payroll Specialist Requirements
  • Proficiency with ADP and SAP is a MUST
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Experience processing multi-state payroll
  • Experience with general accounting
  • MS Office skills utilizing Excel, Power Point, Word
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong analytical and multitasking skills
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
