Job Description

Job Title:  Director of Operations

General Function
The Director of Operations will oversee day-to-day operations to support the growth and profitability of the organization. Their focus will be on strategic planning and goal-setting, and directing the daily execution of operations of the company in support of its goals.
Scope of Job
The Director of Operations will lead Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Inventory Management, and internal business infrastructure functions in addition to providing input to strategic direction, goal setting, and process improvement.  
Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead RAVE departments associated with the daily operational rhythm including Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Inventory Management, and internal business infrastructure like facilities and IT.
  • Develop and maintain internal control systems to ensure accountability of performance.
  • Support and aid in company financial management and budget development and execution related to operations functions. 
  • Develop strong vendor relationships and partnerships to maximize efficiency and profitability. 
  • Advise the President on new areas for growth or improvement.
  • Plan out business strategies and processes and oversee their implementation.
  • Monitor P&L to ensure profitability. 
  • Identify campaigns to increase profitability performance.
  • Ensure the highest levels of quality product delivered on time and within budget to customers.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university in Business, Operations Management, Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in manufacturing or computer/electronics technology operations
  • Creative and collaborative problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound accounting and financial management skills
  • Ability to think strategically as well as tactically
  • Proficient in Microsoft office software suite as well as CRM and ERP systems
  • Must be enthusiastic, persistent, and consistent in all endeavors
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are a must
  • Strong self-starter and ability to think on-the-go
  • Must have demonstrated leadership experience
  • Knowledge and experience in leading government contracts/programs is desirable
  • Knowledge of computer industry, products and services is desirable
