Product Specialist (Trim)
Department: Engineering
Reports to: Engineering Manager or Engineering Supervisor

Specific Responsibilities:

— Assist in the daily activities of assigned engineering projects
— Assist Soft Trim Engineer in the design and development of new products within schedule and budget parameters
— Participate in cross-functional seat trim reviews
— Plan and develop experimental test programs and evaluate the results
— Issue drawings, specifications, BOMs (header cards)
— Change and release assistance
— Proactively identify and resolve engineering and manufacturing related issues. Must have the ability to work under supervision to resolve technical and manufacturing issues and as part of a team.
— Assist customers in resolution of field issues with the assistance of the team

Job Requirements:

— Bachelor's degree in Industrial or other related Engineering disciplines or, alternatively, 1+ years relevant work experience
— Must have effective organizational skills and the ability to prioritize assignments

— Strong conceptual, problem solving and analytical skills required
— Working knowledge of seating systems, interior components and cut & sew preferred
— Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
