Job Description
Prepare CAD drawings and layouts to set specifications from existing 3D math data. Details reference points, dimensions and dimensional requirements on 2D drawings for fabricating, welding, and assembling in structural metal products.


 — Utilizes knowledge of CAD system, GD&T, engineering practices, materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings
— Shows GD&T, dimensions and materials to be used, and other information necessary to make detailed drawings clear and complete
— Produces CAD drawings from which plotting drawings can be created
— Makes any adjustments or changes necessary or desired
— Draws charts for representation of engineering data
— Plans and develops layout as outlined by engineering direction. This may include sketches and marked drawings
— Details location and sequence of cutting, drilling, bending, forming, rolling, punching and welding operations
— Marks curves, lines, holes, dimensions, and welding symbols onto drawings
— Using necessary components, creates assemblies for fabrication, welding, or assembly operations
— Interprets and follows design direction with minimal additional direction needed to complete task
— Able to complete and create 2D drawings that are completed with enough data to ensure that the parts could be manufactured, quoted, or gauged for functionality
— Understands and adheres to company engineering work order system
— Associates Degree required

— Bachelors Degree preferred
— 3 + years of related experience required
— Licenses and Certifications: Must have an elementary proficiency in one or more of the following; CATIA, UG
