Job Description
Instrument Technician (Electrical) Responsibilities
  • The Instrument Technician responsibilities include but are not limited to: troubleshooting, repair and upgrading of all plant electrical equipment including repair and calibration of instrumentation, calibration of belt scales, troubleshooting and repair of AC Variable Frequency Drives and functional evaluation, troubleshooting and minor programming of programmable logic controllers
  • Duties may also include those of the Maintenance Electrician as well
  • Must be able to perform job with minimal supervision
Instrument Technician (Electrical) Requirements
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand edit and create both ladder logic and GUI in Wonderware or whatever software Texas Lime is using at the time
  • Completion of an associate’s degree in instrumentation from a company approved program or
  • Three years’ experience as Instrument Technician in an industrial environment with
  • Duties similar to those of this position
  • Must be able to read, draw and utilize all types of electrical and instrumentation drawings, schematics, and instruction manuals as well as one-line electrical drawings
  • Must have a working knowledge of electrical / electronic design fundamentals and the N.E.C. and be able to troubleshoot power, control and motor circuits
