Job Description
Process Engineering Technician Responsibilities
  • Develop, configure and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification
  • Control of process variables which includes
  • Planning for quality
  • Deploying the plan
  • Checking that the plan is being followed and is adequate
  • Continuous improvement of the plan and deployment of the plan
  • Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data
  • Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
  • Perform risk assessments
  • APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
  • Process FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) and Control Planning
  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions
  • Problem solving, Root Cause Analysis and / or error proofing equipment, fixtures and gauging
  • Participate in customer phone conferences and or meetings
  • Fixture certification / verification and maintenance
  • Assist all departments as needed (laser, stamping, bending, welding, paint, assembly and shipment)
Process Engineering Technician Job Requirements
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Knowledge of Blueprints and GD&
  • Knowledge of process related standard
  • Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills
  • CAD or AutoCAD skills
  • Manufacturing experience / College degree or certification a plus
  • Good communication skills
  • Availability to travel as required (short term travel (1-3 days)
