Job Description
Master Scheduler Responsibilities
  • Provide weekly manufacturing schedule to manufacturing departments and update on a daily basis / by shift if necessary
  • Act as information resource between Customer Service and Manufacturing departments
  • Serve as a substitute customer service representative
  • Maintain and monitor 12-month rolling sales forecast by item
  • Load forecast via SUP
  • Make analysis of a realistic forecast for a proper material planning
  • Regulate WIP and FG inventory of manufactured parts
  • Advise adjustments, implement corrective actions to reduce WIP inaccuracy
  • Perform job and other related activities as specified by all QS-9000 procedures
  • Set up production control systems for the automotive industry
  • Check with manufacturing and logistics the daily / weekly / monthly results
  • Assist with projects involving inventory reporting and accuracy
  • Generate production reports for other operation departments / logistics departments
 
Master Scheduler Requirements
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing desired
  • Past EDI experience is desired
  • 3-5 years in Logistics / Master Scheduling
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Knowledge of MRP
  • CPIM desirable
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software
  • High flexibility
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to read and interpret metal rule
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • The employee must regularly wear Personal Protective Equipment
  • The employee is frequently required to understand and comply with work directions and discriminate amongst various potential safety hazards
  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch
  • The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
