Job Description
Lead Software Engineer Responsibilities
  • Lead the global software development team and supplier teams with SW development through full development life-cycle per ASPICE process
  • Document and track issues, maintain the list through the life of the program
  • Lead issue tracking and progress tracking meetings with the supplier teams and the in house SW development team
  • Android application development, Bluetooth and Infotainment
  • Maintaining and understanding requirements documents
  • Be able to “fill in the holes” in explaining requirements to design team
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to evaluate, design, implement and integrate customer requirements
  • Conduct peer review meetings
  • Provide S / W integration support to local engineers, customers, or off site teams
  • Working understanding of software design
  • Assist team in modifying / implementing software design
  • Capture and Analyze Bus Logs, Debug and provide root cause analysis on issues to the customer and the MELCO design center
  • Lead teams with release management, configuration management, re-flashes, vehicle trouble shooting activities
  • Plan and deliver to a software release schedule
  • Manage Software requirements, deliverables, and timings
  • Write project plan document per ASPICE requirements
Lead Software Engineer Requirements
  • BSCS, BSEE or equivalent training in Software Development
  • Customer management, supplier management and global development team management experience required
  • 3 years minimum experience in leading, managing and developing embedded or systems engineering teams using ASPICE process is strongly desired
  • Android application development, Bluetooth and Infotainment
  • Proficient in the use of CAN tools (CaNoE, Vehicle Spy etc.) and standard Android SDK platform tools
  • Fluency in Java, C, C++, JavaScript, etc is desired
  • Working knowledge in open source Operating Systems is strongly desired (Linux, Android,etc.)
