Job Description
Dynamometer Technician
  • 3rd shift is 10:30pm-7:00am
  • Responsibilities will involve operation and maintenance of gasoline engines, heavy-duty diesel engines and test cells while utilizing emissions analytical equipment and data acquisition software
  • Job will require installation and operation of engines and related components along with instrumentation and various fabrication requirements
  • Duties to include detailed analysis of pressure transducers, thermocouples, dynamometer torque signals and all related test cell signals
  • Will compile and ensure quality data acquisition for engineering staff
  • Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen

Dynamometer Technician Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in dynamometer test cell environment
  • Minimum Associates Degree in related field or experience equivalent
  • Good written and oral skills with supervisors, co-workers and customers
  • Excellent mechanical abilities
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Access and Excel
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact at all levels
  • Knowledgeable of the heavy-duty diesel industry, with experience in CVS particulate sampling systems and Horiba gaseous analytical equipment
  • Customer interaction, innovative design input, data collection, data evaluation, and data reporting
  • Shift work and some weekend work required
